It is with great sadness that I report the passing of a former DEARS president. Jim Tyree passed away Tuesday morning, November 8th 2022 after battling cancer for about 2 and a half years. He was surrounded by family and friends when he took his last breath. Jim was a great friend and a wonderful person and will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim and his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 3:00pm at the Lakeside Church in Oakland Florida. 100 Countyline CT, Oakland FL 34787

September DEARS Monthly Meeting

The September DEARS General Club Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022 at 7pm Eastern.

As mentioned in last month’s meeting, we’re trying to bring some topics of interest and show-and-tell events to the monthly meetings.  This month our secretary will be showing how you can attach a cheap RTL-SDR R820T2 dongle and antenna to your laptop to receive and decode several signals on the air.  If you would like to present a topic of interest in an upcoming meeting please let us know!

This meeting will be held virtually on Zoom due to COVID-19.
